ಮಿಚಿಗನ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಕಲಿಕೆಯ ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ "ಮಿಚಿಗನ್ ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಲಿ ಶಾಲೆ" ಅನ್ನು 2018 ರ ಜನವರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಲಾಯಿತು, ಇದು ಶಾಶ್ವತ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು, ವಲಸಿಗರು, ಪರಂಪರೆ ಕಲಿಯುವವರನ್ನು  (ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸಂಬಂಧದ ಮೂಲಕ ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಂದಿ ಕೊಂಡಿರುವ  ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು) ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಮೇರಿಕಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಭಾಷೆ “ಕನ್ನಡ” ವನ್ನು ಕಲಿಯಲು ಮತ್ತು ಉಳಿಸಿ- ಬೆಳೆಸಲು ದ್ವಿಭಾಷಾ ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನು  ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆ  2000 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸ , ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮೃದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವ ವಿಶ್ವ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ಭಾಷೆಯೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಪ್ರೌಢ ಶಾಲಾ ವಿದೇಶಿ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಆಯ್ಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಸಲು ಪ್ರೌಢ  ಶಾಲಾ ಮಾನ್ಯತೆಗಾಗಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷಾ ಕಲಿಕಾ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಣತಿ ಹೊಂದಿರುವ "ಕನ್ನಡ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ " ಎಂಬ ಲಾಭೋದ್ದೇಶವಿಲ್ಲದ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಪ್ರೌಢ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಆಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ  ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ, ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕ್ರೆಡಿಟ್ ಸಿಸ್ಟಮ್ ನ ಲಾಭವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು.

"ಸಿರಿಗನ್ನಡಂ ಗೆಲ್ಗೆ ಸಿರಿಗನ್ನಡಂ ಬಾಳ್ಗೆ" 

"Michigan Kannada Kali Shaale" was established in January 2018. Our primary goal is to offer Kannada language learning opportunities not only to the Kannada-speaking community but also to non-Kannada speakers residing in Michigan. This includes permanent residents, expatriates, and heritage learners—students with exposure to Kannada through family relationships. We aim to foster bilingualism in children, enabling them to learn and preserve their native language, "Kannada," in the United States. Kannada, boasting a history of 2000 years, is considered a World Heritage Language, rich in culture and literature. Additionally, we collaborate with local high school districts in conjunction with KANNADA ACADEMY, a non-profit organization specializing in the development of Kannada Language Learning Systems, to facilitate high school accreditation for Kannada as a foreign language option. This allows our children to benefit from the credit system.
